Re: NexVision's Hybrid

Hey!

First of all, I would like to thank NexVision for quality ROM releases for the Titan! I love using your ROMs, and I find it suited for my needs.

As for the beta ROM (which I installed yesterday), I too have a similar problem with the black box in the phone dialer. I'm not sure what causes this, but it is present.

Also, for some reason, my phone just happens to freeze up at times. And no, it's not because I'm running low on memory.... It just happens randomly. It usually freezes on the today screen, and I need to soft-reset it to get my phone to work again.

As for everything else, I really like the new ROM!~ Though it took me a bit of time to get used to in the beginning, I like it's new features! =D

I hope the final version of this beta ROM will be released soon! =)

90% of us have the black box issue. Nex is still troubleshooting it to see what the cause is. He says he has been unable to duplicate it.

Also which beta rom did u install? A1 or A2? The reason I ask is because I had the same issue with lockups with the A1 build but I have not had a single issue with the A2 version. Check to make sure you have installed the
newest one. Also be sure to always pull the battery for 30 sec when installing a new ROM and then do a hard reset. Even tho it may not be necessary to do so, I find that helps to solve a lot of possible issues.

Nex,

Have you tried running the new ROM Vz released today to see if it worth it? I am not hearing very good reviews.

I dont suggest it as everyone is saying that it disables the GPS capabilities of every other ROM. It is set up so you MUST use VZ navigator to have GPS.

Now I am sure someone will eventually find a work-around for this, but to my knowledge it has not been done yet. There is more talk of just extracting the new stuff from it like you would do a radio.

That should fix it.

I know this is a few pages back.... but....

THANK YOU!

This fixed the problem I have been having for about 6 months with EVERY previous NexVision ROM and WMWIFIROUTER. NO ONE else seemed to know what the cause was as most other people dont get prompted for a password.

I am typing this as we speak using the included version of WMWIFIROUTER. You are the MAN!

(I just got around to testing this method, has been a busy week for me)

Re: NexVision's Hybrid

Has anyone running this ROM (A2) noticed that sending e-mail via gmail isn't working as of Yesterday morning?

I have tried deleting and re-installing gmail via the IMAP instructions found for WM6.1 on the gmail site, but still messeges are not sending via SMTP, and they WERE sending as of late sunday early monday for me (no changes to settings, just stopped working) Anyone have ideas?
