AT&T and the Titan

I have a friend that would love to have a Titan, but he has to use AT&T due to coverage at home. Is it possible to get a Verizon (or any other company) Titan, unlock it and use it on AT&T network? I have a Titan that I have upgraded a bunch (thanks to all of you!) and he loves it. All we can find on the AT&T website is the Tilt. I think he really likes the GPS that recently became available.

Re: AT&T and the Titan

No, you can't use a Titan on AT&T. Titans use CDMA cellular radios, while the AT&T network is GSM. Tell him to go with the Tilt. It has GPS officially enabled, twice the RAM, and a 3 MP camera. The Tilt is really a better phone than the Titan, IMO.

Re: AT&T and the Titan

long story short the TITAN is a cdma phone, that will not work on a gsm network. Try researching HTC TYTN. Its the Mogul/titan GSM variant. Hope this helps

Re: AT&T and the Titan

and it has double the ram that the mogul has, and the heavier the hardware, the more durable.
