Nothing personal but this isn't exactly rocket science. And your paranoia is odd since he could simply give you some bogus information about what the cab does and you will just blindly accept it and install it.
good point lol. Also didn't see it was the ROM author that posted the link. It's early, i'm a moron in the AM.

And a big thank you Vossco32 for your support for the VZW users, one issue I am running into is during customization I get a error that states:

"The File: \Windows\ChgScutAttri.exe does not exist!"

and then my device locks and I have to soft reset, anyone else experience this?
YAY I'm not the only one.
I have this problem with ANY ROM I install now. And have no idea where to get chgscutattri.exe from. I've tried searching.

After a search i found out that chgscutattri.exe stands for Change Shortcut Attributes. So it's probably not needed, do a soft reset right before the customization starts and then run the different cabs one at a time from the EXTROM, or better yet *228 is all you need.

Re: Vossco's Rom Based on No2Chem's for VZW

The problem occurs because of the new unlocked extended rom. On a stock Rom all of the customizations are placed in the Extended_Rom and when the phone is hard reset it reinstalls all the carrier files. Since all of the carrier files are already included with custom roms this creates some issues. The easy fix is to restart the phone as soon as it says customization will begin in 3 seconds. I disabled the autorun and updated the rom(check first post for link) so this shouldn't be a problem anymore. I removed all of the files from the Extended_Rom on my phone so I was not having the autorun issue which is why I wasn't getting the error.

Re: Vossco's Rom Based on No2Chem's for VZW

I got the same error message....but I reset the phone and it seemed to load normally except for the dial pad issue...so should I run the files from the extended_rom folder or just delete them?

Vossco, How did you disable the autorun feature in your rom? I'm currently building a rom and would like to prevent the chgscutattri errors. Thank You

Re: Vossco's Rom Based on No2Chem's for VZW

You don't need to run the files from the extended_rom because everything in there is already included in the custom rom. I would back them up to your computer then they can be removed. I am working on the dialpad issue
still and hopefully I will have an updated rom fixing all these problems yet this afternoon (it will also include no2chem's new led app). EDIT: Probably not till tomorrow.

Kinger2:
I removed the shortcut to CheckAutoRun in the OEMAPPS folder, as well as set the Extended_Rom to be hidden by default.

Worked for me. Everything appears to be in good shape.

Re: Vossco's Rom Based on No2Chem's for VZW

Thanks Vossco, One question when you said that you set the Extended_rom to hidden by default, was that after you flashed it or did you set this up before. If before can you explain how? I know after you can do it with the nueEXTROM. Thanks.

Re: Vossco's Rom Based on No2Chem's for VZW

Check out the new fixed rom on the FTP site!!!
5048_V1.2

Kinger, I edited the RGU file that came with nueExtRom OEM pacakage. One if the reg entries in that file says "MountHidden" I changed the last number to 1 instead of zero.
