its been posted over and over that none of the reps know sh*t. cant take anything they say with any truth to it.

yea...i dont believe the heffer...they r all full of stuff...but why would she say this tho? knowing it was gonna make the customer irate??

I think what she may have meant is she doesn't have an "update" on the release date, meaning she doesn't have anything new to add; not that it's not going to be released.

Upon rereading, I'd have to agree with diego_starr. It sounds like she doesn't have an update, but to keep an on eye on the Sprint site for a high profile promo. We'll see.

Either this e-care response is an automated response or sprint just loves to be cynical and sarcastic. How do you advertise the lack of an update/disco of a device or any bad news through "high profile promotions".

I would agree, she didn't say it was canceled, just that she had no new information at that time. You could email back to clarify though. It is in the works though.

They will advertise the update when it is available. It is not canceled. re-read the post.

BAd News guys!!! Maybe there is some truth behind this! When I called and got to the Tier III Tech Support, then transfered to some lady on the West Coast who is an asst. director of Advanced Techincal Support said they have had a few servere unseen bugs that has forced them to cancel it for the time being!! I got pissed off!!

Thanks! I did read the post just misread it. Nonetheless my point still stands. In all my 7 years of knowing Sprint they've never advertised an update in "high profile promotions". Heck! I don't recall ever seeing notice of an update on the website. Updates are things that are hidden. You nusually have to go through a couple clicks to get to them.

Companies don't like releasing updates just due to the amount of devices that either get bricked or crash. An d No! The blatant posting on HTC's site doesn't count, 99% of Mogul users don't even know who/what HTC is.

I think her point is that it would be posted on the product page, clearly the update would change the specs. Plus this would be one of the first high profile updates announced prior to coming out. All others have been canceled. Not a good streak for us.

I didn't know we had assistant directors. Was she the assistant for the director?

How would she know? Tech support knows nothing about updates. They learn about them when they come out. The update is between the lab and HTC. She might have inside knowledge she isn't supposed to but I doubt it. She is probably covering.
