I think her point is that it would be posted on the product page, clearly the update would change the specs. Plus this would be one of the first high profile updates announced prior to coming out. All others have been canceled. Not a good streak for us.
I didn't know we had assistant directors. Was she the assistant for the director?
How would she know? Tech support knows nothing about updates. They learn about them when they come out. The update is between the lab and HTC. She might have inside knowledge she isn't supposed to but I doubt it. She is probably covering.
