Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

I had the same MSL error, the solution is to copy the PPST_KeyGen.dll file over with the GetSPC.exe (makes sense even though it doesn't tell you to).

Now stuck at step 4, 290 error at 11% (just like 6800geek).
PS, are you running the relocker from the PC?

Now, in answer to your question about going back to an official carrier released rom,
such as 2.17.
1. Follow the guide through step 3
2. Now, while still in the bootloader screen on your phone, run your carrier released rom (such as 2.17)
**This will also install the correct radio for that software rom**
3. Then proceed to steps 8-11, because going backwards WILL erase those settings in your phone.
I have 3.16 rom but I need to go back to 2.17, so I ran the Titan_Relocker.exe and followed each step carefully. I then see "Your device should now be locked it will show bootloader version 1.06", looking over my mogul bootloader screen, it show "TITA100 MFG SPL-2.30.Olipro", I am thinking this is not good. I continued with flashing 2.17 rom, it failed with 328 error. the phone is now stuck in tri-color bootloader screen.
Did I use the wrong Titan_Relocker.exe? help, help, help, pleazzzzzzzzz....

Copy the PPST_Keygen.dll in the zip file to the same location as the program.

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

I kept getting the 290 invalid command error at 11% on step 4. Even though other posters seem to insist just keep trying, that doesnt apply to all of us. I tried multiple times, multiple PCs and cables, same error, so some phone just dont like it.
So I installed from the SD card: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...nvalid+command

However I also got an error when it got to Os install. Obviously something strange going on with my phone.

So I:
Ran titan_exitbl.exe
reset
Ran Tital_Relocker.exe, where is says disconnect I unplugged the USB cable, and then reconnected. ensured AS was off. Continued.
Still in Tricolor screen ran TITAIMG from the SD card.
UPDATE success.

Now to install a custom ROM once I verify I have the radio installed.

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

I have VZW, and I depend on Wireless Sync for contacts, notes, appointments, etc. If I install a custom rom, will delete Wireless Sync that Verizon provides?
Thank you for all your help!

Re: An Easy Guide to Upgrading

I'm stuck as well. I got to the step where I loaded the new GPS update, then I try the locker and my computer won't find my phone, I've restarted and tried it nothing. Is it Vista?. It beeps twice when I plug it in, but nothing. I can surf the internet, but cannot make calls or receive.
