TBOpt - I always put this as 1 (i think the default is 3) and it just shows the battery meter.

Has anyone had any luck receiving mms messages on the 5058?

For some reason if I installed weatherpanel it locks the phone on the next reboot and requires a hard reset. This only happens on No2Chem's Rom's after 5051 and I 'think' it has to do with the fonts?... I had to edit the weatherpanel cab so the today plugin is turned off by default. Once I did that then weatherpanel no longer locked the phone after the next reboot.

babair - you must be running a proxy or something is glitching somewhere... there is ZERO potential to have those speeds on EVDO, even if the phone is tethered to your PC. Rev A's maximum downstream potential is ~3100kbps...

Anyway, I still haven't flashed to 5058 yet... not really wanting to redo my whole phone right now.

Weird problem here. I've ran many builds of newROM, DCD and stock, and ive never had this happen. Since my I flashed my phone last night, ive had the phone shut off on its own 3 times. Only way to turn it back on is the pull out the battery and put it back in.

I've never seen it shut off for myself, just pull it out of my pocket and its off. I haven't installed anything unusual:

SPB Time
SPB Travel
Quickmenu
Google Maps/Search
Windows Live
HTC home

Just curious if anyone else has had this happen yet or if its an isolated issue.

does anyone know how to rehide the bluetooth explorer?i don't use it hit it by accident....its annoying me when it shows up under device as a sd card...

Mine was at 0 (messed up battery blob).
Changing to 1 made the date and time apear correctly.
Changing to 2 or 3 gave the same as 1.

So i just left the date and time since it is clear, but redundant (HTC Home). I still have not found a way to get the battery meter to display properly, but may look for an alternate program to use.

ALSO! for No2Chem, i seem to have a problem losing txt messages from nueThreadedSMS after a soft reset. After reset, i always have the same "state" of the first two test messages i sent and received before my first soft reset. Very weird. After disabling nueThreadedSMS, the mogul immediately reset and the problem is the same with the built in sms. I am going to try the treo thread sms and will report back.

I tried to rep you again, but it wouldn't let me. Thanks for the tip though!

try a different battery. Had that happen to me twice and both times it was the battery. Hope that helps.

lol i know a hardreset would...it does it on any rom version...but its a last resort..looking for a alternate way.like a reg edit....
