Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
I think there is a compatibility problem with Monocube Safemode 2.1 It works fine on the stock rom but not on this one. It installs fine but wont give the prompt during startup. Maybe 6.1 related??? I honestly haven't noticed if it has worked on previous builds or not... Is this something you think you can tackle N2C?

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
mine did NOT freeze. This is probably an issue with additional software that you have loaded, possibly and alarm. I have not loaded any additional software and just using 5054 on the new sprint rom. Good luck

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
The new 5054 Build - There seems to be a lot of questions regarding this I would just give him some time to fix out all the problems that everyone is having.
I am at the 5053 Build and its running smoothly without any problems. Tried the GPS the other day using Live Search comes up perfectly and very fast, overall build was great, running SPB Pocket Plus (get the page scrolling function which is a great help when coming to IE and Contacts) just have that plug-in running and I am sitting at 19.4MB Free (not after soft-reset). So I am sure that once he fixes the problems that people are occurring he will release another build. Can't wait to upgrade to 5054! Great work No2Chem keep up the work.... Anyone know of any good softwares that are useful? I know the SPB Pocket Plus is a good one for page scrolling, giving it functions similar to the Iphone. |

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
I'm going to put my throwing stars into the ring as well and say that it might be time to start a new thread for this ROM that is based on the new update.
It's just becoming a bit unreasonable to expect people to pour through 255 pages of information. Also, information that was posted on page 120 is dramatically different from items that are posted on page 200 (just random pages...don't go checking the validity of this! haha). Anyone else agree? |

Not to be a curmudgeon, but if we start a new thread the mods will likely either close it or merge it into this one...

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
I think we should summarize what problems we are having so No2Chem can focus on those in the next build. They are scattered all over this thread, maybe they can be posted in new thread or as a pool or somehow sticky so people who are having trouble can look through if anyone else has the same problem and where they can find solutions. I have couple that I observed from the thread and couple that I encountered:
1) ## codes don't work: Look in programs->advanced settings->EPST config 2) When autorun.exe tries to run it says that the certificate is not valid and it cannot be run: Look into extended ROM and install cabs that you want 3) It is not using new Sprint Rom: Yes it is it’s just not showing in 5053, fixed in 5054 4) When data is active arrow are always white no matter if there is data being transmitted: Dialer problem will be fixed <- is this true? 5) Memory starts at 20 MB for me, but after few programs opened and properly closed (removed from memory through x button or another application) it goes down dramatically and stays down until I reset. It is still operable around 10 MB which was unthinkable with previous versions, but you can go only as low as 0 ;-) Last night I had it all the way to 4MB free and it still made and received call. 5) Wi-Fi finds the network, but after while it drops and says there are no networks available even though you are well within the range 6) Threaded messages really suck for people with lot of messages (news alerts) from same source because in detail view you cannot delete the message without trying to find where to click and then grayed out Delete changes to available. Of course you can delete from main screen, but then you delete all time in the thread not just the one that you just read. 7) Voice dial button is missing completely and cannot be assigned to other functions like "Alt-Tab" Etc... You get the picture I'm sure there are more problems now how do we summarize them? |

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this... When upgrading builds (like goig from 5053 to 5054) are there significant changes being made to the registry? In other words, can I just import a copy of the entire registry after flashing or am I looking for trouble? I know it wouldn't be advised when the build is based off a new standard ROM or when changing from wm6.0 to wm6.1, but what about N2C 2.0 build 5053 to 5054?

Honestly, I have no idea if you can do that. If you are just trying to restore some things, like font size, scroll bar size, your theme, etc... The best way to do that is using tha ability of N2C's UC capabilities: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337 Create a little SDconfig.txt file and then an xml file to do all of your registry stuff. Its more dynamic than doing a mass registry update I would think. Plus you learn a ton about your phone. ;) One note though is that UC is not working in 5054. It is still worth it to begin making your UC config files for future builds though. |
Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
That's what I'm doing now but I was too lazy last night to look at every registry edit that I had made and just created an xml with the entire registry... it works for a restore after a hard reset (no significant time difference during UC install than with just a few registry edits). I'm just not sure how it would react after a new build. I guess that would be a N2C question...

Battery icon and clock icon overlap when HTC Home is installed, fix is to get Home Customizer and check add toolbar clock. (I didn't have this issue with other ROMs, but maybe it's not ROM related). Edit: oh yeah and the dialer issues. |

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
i'd be happy with a dialer fix, but i can live with this one until a fix comes out.

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
I actually prefer the current dialer; the GSM dialer was nice... however very buggy. Now my calls are dialed/answered immediately without incident whereas before it would take a few uncomfortable secnds before you could hear your party over on the line.
In addition, a little simplification regarding the dialer is well recieved... |
Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
two quick things.
x button doesnt seem to work right hitting the green button doesnt always get the phone to come up |
Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
I don't know how to search for this to see if it's been asked but i updated to the newest No2Chem and now when i get a incoming call and press answer theres like a 3 to 4 second delay before it actually goes to the call screen and I can say anything so they can hear me?
Edit: I was looking back through the posts and is it a problem with the dialer? |

Someone know what the various cabs in the "extended ROM" are/do? (Actually, I should say, the cabs listed in the config.txt found in the ExtROM of 5054...)

I only tried a few of them, but they look like the ones left over from sprint. Got a music plugin on my today screen and some other goodie from them. (just uninstalled)
