So does that mean those reg edits were incorrect, and if so then what is the correct reg edits to restore the listing of add/remove programs listings?

glad it works for you as it is..but i run a company and can't have all my numbers programed into my phone it would be ridiculous...there has to be a fix hoping...cause 48 gave some strange issues with the new radio...I.e random sound looses....I had to reset sometimes as well to end calls....So can't go back to that...tried 54...but had this issue..

i just upgraded to the newest build from dcds roms. The sprint codes dont work. Is there anything I can install over the dialer to get them to work? Thanks in advance

I want to make this my rom for the next few weeks, and I like everything except for the dialer, and I cant seem to install a new one over it. I am going to try to follow the basekit thread on the first page right now, could someone point me in the right direction at least if all I want to do is replace the dialer? Can I just copy an oem of the dialer (like from DCDs kitchem) into the oem folder and then check it in buildos, am I on the right track?

Whats the difference between the basekit 5054 and the one with ROM dir


EDIT: alright, making some progress. Should I select pretty much everything in the SYS section?

EDIT2: Looks like Im in a little over my head, I dont know what all these DRM, dll, OEM stuff, and what I need.


Do I want to select everything in the basekit? That would make sense right?

why would you take out the ringtones? ie there are none now?

is there a cab of them somewhere or what do I need to backup?

also could anyone tell me how to back up wm6.1 text messages before I upgrade?

I keep having calls come in and loose sound completely. Haven't decided if this is a radio or ROM issue.

By what I am reading, everyone is having dialer problems. While I LIKE the default dialer, did these problems exist back with the SmartDialing 504X versions? I liked smart dialing better, I am all for votes to roll back to that. Or if someone knows how to enable it again...

The other issue, autocomplete [where you type two or three letters and suggestions pop down] stopped working on texts after about a few hours of using the ROM. I know have to soft reset to get it working. Seemed to happen in other versions of this ROM too.

And I give up, it gave me an error for the oemdrivers. Those seem important right? I dont know what else to uncheck. No one has used the basekit? Could I get some hints as to what I should check in the SYS and OEM sections?

hmm, just a note.. there IS no dialer included .. so the problem isn't another dialer included.

that being said, since enough people are having problems, im just going to revert back to stock.

Ditto! I just installed the Big Button over the new stock ROM plus the vibrate and it works great. So.... it may work on the revised 5054.

no it doesnt work on 54...look at the pic i posted above...


very cool to hear....Only other issue i had was programs not showing up in remove programs..did the regedit it fixed it...but strange thing no matter how many times i installed best regedit.it never showed up on start menu like before...i had to add it manually...also pocket mechanic looks little strange as well..bottom task bar covers bottom keys now in pocket mechanic...see

lol change logs reflect this...sprints rom is 6.0 no2 is 6.1 very different os...

wrong its not based off..its compatible with the radio i believe......

This does have new Sprint ROM merged in. 5053 did not have the verison number updated. No2Chem corrected the versioning with 5054.

Yes, I know, but No2Chen said he was going back to the stock dialer I believe. In that case, maybe installing another dialer will work.

Do you do the reg edits before installing all the apps or can it be done after installing the programs?

Is there any way to get the dialer to "look" like the pre-505x dialers? Right now it has the weird scroll list. The old one showed the numbers in a blue window that "smart matched" the contact/number you were dialing. It looks so odd...THANKS!!!

I searched to no avail... Does anyone know if you can/how to add alarm settings to the User Customizations?
And yes, I know this isn't exactly a UC thread so please be kind :)

EDIT. Nevermind, got lucky and found it in the registry... hopefully I can get lucky with HTC Home Customizer also <-- that's a hint for someone to hopefully help with that part :)

5054 is using 3.35. yes, no2chem is that much of a genius. he had a new rom update, which was 5052, using 3.35 jus a few hrs after it was released.

Ok, I guess its my turn to ask for help.

I recently had flashed to the stock 3.35 rom. Seeing nu2chems 5054 I decided to try that, so I ran the olipro unlocker again and ran the 5054 rom. Device boots, shows the Version 3.35 radio 3.35, the text goes away and then it stops on the "HTC Smart Mobility" screen. I tried a hard reset to restore the ROM again, still stops.

What do I do now? Its not really the bootloader, so I cant use the exit bootloader thing. Im stuck.

Nevermind.

I pulled out my storage card, pulled the battery for 10 seconds,

At first it was stuck in what seemed like a blue screen reboot. Everytime it got to the align screen it rebooted. After the third time, I plugged it back onto the computer USB and it finally booted all the way.
