Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

I will be interested to see if the increased pagepool will help down the road. No2Chem said it would be sluggish at first....

Wow, I've never been called a "hater" before....

I have been a HUGE fan of these releases. My point is, there doesn't seem like there is a whole more that can be added to these releases to make them better. Sometimes, you need to step back and realize that you've really hit perfection and adding more just takes away from that.

Once someone begins taking paypal donations for their work and people have spent money on these updates, the people that use these updates become consumers and we DO have the right to give input. And I feel confident that no2chem WELCOMES this input with open arms.

Quite frankly, I cannot WAIT until the new release is out for Sprint because I have no doubt that no2chem will build a whole new set of ROMS that are just outstanding.

Disagree with me if you want, that's your right, but please don't call me a "hater' because that is hardly what I am conveying here.

i'm not a PPC guru, but hopefully this is true. i upgraded to 5050 but i noticed it's a little less snappy so i'm going to step back to 5049. no hard feelings though, nice and clean ROM

meh, i think the 2mb pagepool is causing some issues, maybe it was a little too agressive - I think ill move it up to 3mb.

no, input is welcome =p
I reduced the pagepool a bit because people were complaining about low memory, etc, but i think 2mb may be too little. It certainly boots and is stable, but i guess its a bit slow even though the benchmarks claim that its faster.

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

I flashed this morning. I haven't noticed any real lag. I like it well enough, as much as 5049. Nice work N2C... it is appreciated.

So, if you don't mind my asking.. what are you thinking about IRT the next iteration of ROM? To DKincaids' point.. how much better can it get?

Hey No2Chem, is the pagepool changeable in the registry? (So for all the guys who have 5050 installed...we can just go edit it.) Thanks!

verkion
P.S. AWESOME work once again! THX so much!!!

Re: No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread

well i searched and couldn't find an answer in this massive thread--

when i first loaded no2chem's rom i could type in my text messages and the text would keep up with how fast i type..

now after running the rom for a while the text lags behind how fast i'm typing.. causing me to push send before the text is displayed.. very annoying ot have to wait after typing...

this happened to me in the old versions of his rom also, and in 5049

So, in conclusion... My text is showing up slower than I can type after running hte rom for a few days..

any fix? or something i'm doing wrong?
