Doing our part, compiling 3.16 standard Bug List

well. 3.16 works great. there are a few bug on my end though

1. on demand will not fully install and run. it will install the cab, then it tries to connect and wont go any further and gives me an error.

2. still a small memory leak somewhere along the lines but has been imporved.

3. battery life is horrible compared to previous roms. this is without and gps use and even less use of the phone compared to the last few mths.

on the plus side.

1. gps works

2. rev a did give me a boost in my area

3. bluetooth works good.

4. i can run two gps units simultaneously internal and external for two seperate programs at the same time that require gps.

I reset the info in ##DATA# and changed my vision password to initiate IOTA but it hasn't come through yet. It did pick up a signal within a few seconds but when I try to connect to vision, I now get error 67.

I had skipped the sprint customizations so I didn't have IOTA and that's why it wasn't working. I just took it from the zip someone posted with all of the sprint addons.

Once I installed IOTA, it tried to reprovision but I got error 1012.

Changed my vision password online again to see if it will work when initiated from their end.

Didn't work but once I restored the info in ##DATA# and manually ran IOTA, it worked fine. I can get online and I don't have any issues picking up an EVDO signal after soft reset.

3) No longer can roam on Verizon towers

I took it out in DC today and while I had a great EVDO signal out on the street, as soon as I got into the metro, I went to 1x on Verizon's tower and couldn't get any data. I used to be able to do data roaming on VZW on the metro.

4) Sometimes have to soft reset to get GPS fix

I had GPS working great yesterday. Went to bed. Today when I was out and about I couldn't find any satellites with Gmaps or Live. Soft reset and it worked fine.

5) Initial attempt to use GPS can make phone unresponsive for 3-5 minutes or lock up requiring a soft reset.

Sometimes the first time I use GPS it will freeze up the phone

Will edit with step-by-step of what I try as I go along.

I will have to Second these bugs I pretty much experienced the same behavior although my initial install was a success.

1. No roam on Verizon network when on the Metro Train (Always say the device is not recognized)
2. May freeze up when aquiring GPS position (Live Search) actually only got the position once, it says to get a clear view etc... No Problem with Sprint Telenav. It still takes atleast 3-5min though.
3. Volume appears to be much lower.

On the plus side it seems as though the EVDO is a bit quicker 599.2kbps in my office on the 11th floor in Rosslyn according to blue-mobile.com. Will check again at home in DC.
Update: GPS is working flawless today Live Search picked up my location in half the time as before and even noticed when I moved from the window to deeper into the office...I'm going outside for lunch to wander around...YEA!

manually ran IOTA, it worked fine. I can get online and I don't have any issues picking up an EVDO signal after soft reset.

Filing under "Solved" for me at least.

I cannot roam on Verizon Towers. It gives a message that my phone cannot be authenticated. I had voice roaming before installing new radio 3.27.00. Looks like some guys who are actually with verizon had an "a-Key" authentication error. Im with sprint and therefore cannot turn to verizon for support. How would i go about correcting this? Any Ideas?

I also can confirm this bug.... I can receive beams, but can't send them without it locking up... Also, I can't send or receive IR either, doing so will lock it up tighter than a nats @$$..... Any ideas whats changed.....

EDIT.... : I performed a Hard Reset - I can now at least goto the Beam screen and then exit out. I will try to get my friends PPC and try to beam him a file with nothing installed.....

I've only seen one other person mention it but I no longer have sound through the usb port for my headphones and FM modulator. Anyone else?
Other than that it's like others... sporadic internet dropouts that I didn't have before. I flashed it with all the Sprint custom stuff and left them there.

I am having problems with texting. I receive them easily enough, but when I reply, it gives me an error box, saying that the contact is not recognized.

yeah i was affraid this would only be hard reset resolvable... so many decisions now should i retry this rom or mess with 6.1 since i gotta reflash anyways at this point?

Well not so fast for me.... Even after I did that Hard Reset the issue came screaming back.... Here's a post at XDA

I'm using GnatGoSplat's "Boring Alltel Rom"

For the most part I love it. GPS works great and I Finally have a blinking roaming triangle. 'Bout damn time...

However the data connection is a dealbreaker for me. I tether for my home internet because I'm in the boonies and less than a mile from a tower, so I get great speeds. I'm having random problems with websites on the phone and my computer while tethered.

So far I can't download livesearch.cab on device or PC. Plus I can't get several websites to load, specifically logitech.com and staples.com on my pc. It seems like only the ones I really want to get to at the time... Everything else works great.

The work on this ROM is great. I really appreciate that people are willing to take the time to work through all these issues and find solutions.
