ive tried numerous times to download the latest live search cab and it hangs. I read about the same PIE hanging over at XDA

All i would like to add to this post is, My carrier is cricket and over at XDA DCD has released 4 clean ROMS based on the 3.16 rom release (verizon/sprint/alltel/ter/) which work pretty darn good . since i have cricket as a carrier, my input about the latest ROM is useless, but so far i have overcome the 2 lil quirks which came my way, and i think its only a matter of time and we will own this phone the way we do with the 6700/ clean roms @ XDA by the great DCD

(a) I'm sure it was not intentional - leaks like this cost people their jobs.
(b) as others have noted, this is likely not even the most recent rev, or anywhere near the "golden master" pre-release version - it will have bugs and they should have long ago been documented and fixed.
(c) the release is either monday, or a month away. If it's monday then documenting 6 week old bugs isn't going to help much, if its a month away its likely its delayed due to these and many more bugs

Just enjoy/play with the preview knowing it has some issues, or wait for the actual release - that's my suggestion.

Opera Mobile would hang on downloads as well.

Loaded the ROM yesterday and have put on all my customizations (HHC 1.0, HTC Home 2.0, Kaiser Big Button CommMgr, BlueFrog Big button dialer, BatteryStatus, CallCalendar, Slide2Unlock) and so far I have not experienced a single problem that others have listed here except the "1" key in the Blue Frog Big dialer comes up weird. Some of the things I've tested...

Phone - Locked onto a 1X signal seconds after booting, no problems with a slow lock here.

GPS - locked on immediately when I went outdoors, indoors it took 5 or so minutes. Pretty accurate, I'm impressed considering it's in my phone.

Bluetooth - I have never had problems with Bluetooth with any of the ROMs I've used, no issues with this ROM either. I connect to my Laptop to Activesync via BT and also have a Motorola HS850 headset.

REV A - Not available in this area, so not a big deal to me.

Downloading - No problems, CABs download and install with no problem.

When I loaded the ROM, I ran the new Olipro unlocker first, then it took two tries to load the 3.16 ROM (It rebooted at 11% the first time).

All in all, I'll leave it on my phone for now, I'm sure a Sprint/HTC full release will be around the corner at which time I'll do another load.

I too am having hang ups on downloads to phone, anything to resolve this yet.

To get a satellite lock the first time I had to dial ##debug# (fieldtrial code) then selected GPS and it took maybe 3 minutes to fill in 4 satellites. Installed Google Maps (www.google.com/mmp) and selected USE GPS and it popped right up. TomTom won't work unless I get GoogleMaps running first, then I can exit GM and leave TomTom running. Shutting TomTom off and restarting it means starting over with GoogleMaps for some reason. ?

Only weird change I've noticed is I can no longer just press the green phone button to make a call when the phone's asleep. With 2.17 I didn't have to hit the on button first.

Yeah. I have just started downloading things to my laptop and copying them over for now. Kind of annoying but a workaround.

WiFi connection problems last night after flashing and GPS experimenting. Kept dropping out and had to soft reset before things cleared up. Today it's working better than my laptop does. Flick the switch on and connected in seconds. Seems to be better than before the flash.

I'm mirroring these 2 issues as well. so far every browsing session has resulted in pie crashing and locking up my phone completely. even with common sites and stock favorites! plus browsing speed seems to hang when loading any page besides google (which is set as my homepage)
