Just an update...for those of us that where having problems using tethering after the update I found a fix for it. Simply all you have to do is go into the registry and set the Multi nai to 0. The exact key is provided by Jobine in the registry hacks he has listed. Once i did this I was able to tether my phone to my notebook and get online without getting kicked off.

Is there a ROM 3.16 Update for dummies post somewhere. I remember it floating around somehwere...i need that because i dont know anything about the unlocker or anything. Please help...

i'm with ghetto on this one. i tried DLing a file in the first post, extracted the executable, tried running it from the pc and the phone, nothing with either. i'm pretty sure that my phone is running the stock boatloader, although i may have unlocked it at some point...i don't remember.

when this was first leaked, i read all pages at that time (it jumped pretty high pretty quick) and now there are 26 pages, at 40 posts per page, that's quite a few...

i just wish that there was one quick stickied post with instructions, without all the 'i cant this and i cant that' comments all the way through it....

nevermind...

we'll see what happens here. apparently my first DL was corrupted, and didn't come down as an app.

working now on new rom install....will i hang? will it blend?

i just couldn't wait anymore for this update that was supposed to come out a month ago...who knows when
it will finally show...going for broke.

good thing i have insurance

rainbow screen a couple times at 11%, but rolled on through..22% and counting woohoo!!

I'm about to give in and just DL No2chems' "3.16R + WM6.1" I waited long enough...

Really, the stress of waiting isn't healthy. I wish I really did know when it was coming, I've had it with checking that damn bookmark.

Actually Colonel had a Sprint / custom Rom with GPS up and seems to have a lot of people happy with it. I thought it was quite awesome but it was making my phone reset again and again. I noticed the ROM was gone from his ftp now. I hope he is making another Sprint version as I really liked what head done with it. I have reset back to the ROM from Kmart
and it seems stable. For those looking for a simple set of basic instructions, here goes: not detailed mind you..

First , relock(Titan relocker) the phone from your PC if you are not going from an original Sprint rom,
make sure you follow COMPLETELY the instructions of the relocker.
Second, flash to an early version of the Sprint Rom (earlier than 3.16) (exe. file is easier for newer folks than trying an NBH).This includes the update utility.
{use the exit bootloader if you get stuck in the tri color loader }
After making sure you are using a early version Sprint Rom , Run the RUU Sprint Titan exe. file
This will put you into bootloader mode. Let it auto load the ROM after following the simple on screen
(If you get stuck at 11 % , make sure you ran the RELOCKER all the way through to its end)
Make sure you follow the on screen instructions exactly as they read .
If you get stuck and it goes into recovery mode, follow the steps exactly and then rerun update utility. I had it stop at various points when flashing at different times, but the 11%
stops seem to have been related to the relocker not running all the way through .
It should not take more than 1-2 flashes (after error) to complete the flash.
If you see the start up screen read as a Beta Test Not for Sale, then it loaded.
Next, let it run through its restart and customizations . It will reset itself and then finish.

This may be simplistic because I did not link files but a search in Titan forum will yield all needed files. Earlier Version Sprint ROm, Titan Relocker, (exit Bootlader if needed), and the exe. file of the new ROM and update utility. I also recommend using the Astrogpslauncher
or similar tool if using maps other than Sprint Nav or google maps or live. This program will
activate the gps feature for the other apps like TomTom and Inav.

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR WIFI SWITCH ON THE SIDE OF UNIT IN OFF POSITION
DURING THE FLASH
