jamesus: On the freezing, I had heard of the issue with 2.09, but never successfully recreated it personally.

New rom hopefully wont be using 2.09. More testing is needed. Development is a little slow because I just got back from vacation, and am *hoping* that HTC actually releases a new base for us, that works the way it should.

Big J: This kitchen doesn't create anything other than the OS core. When you say it doesn't recognize the radio, what exactly happens? Its possible there is a problem with the rilphone module and the newer core build. I haven't heard of this happening for anyone else though.

And I had the damn reminder / device freeze today again...ugh...
im hoping to have a beta up late tonight if you wanna give it a whirl on the reminder issue. If its the same issue that the 6700 was having w/ reminders (back in the aku 2.x era) then youll need updated sys files... i can try and hybrid some files from aku 070 from the apache but that will take me some time.

have you tried pimbackup or are your old-skooling it and copying your whole pim file? also give memmaid v2 a whirl it has an uber notification error checker in the main program (2nd tab on the bottom).

PM me if you need a link

actually, if you delete ANY of the wma files from the ROM prior to flashing it wont find the radio.... pisses me off cuz they take up like a meg and a half of space. I remembered having that issue on the 6700 when i tried to replace that stupid mozart ringer. anyways if you know of a way to rid those files and not have the phone take a shit on you im all ears haha.

thanks!

Yea...I vaguely remember the Apache issue.

I use PimBackup as a...well...on the fly backup, but I actually use Outlook (since my company won't open the exchange server...different can of worms there).

I use MemMaid and make sure that my notification queue is cleaned up almost every day. Seems to me the notification problem is for reminders, etc taht have not been triggered yet.

How about finding a 1 second long blank sound file and renaming it a bunch of times? Might be worth a shot!

do you go about changing the boot screen in this kitchen any different than how we created it in the 6700 kitchen?

The very first splash screen that you see. Although it looks as if the mogul has 1 or 2 more splash screens than the Apache did.

Upon my first build I droped Arcsoft MMS in and HTC Audio manager in.
Arcsoft gave me an error saying that audiostrmreader.dll already existed in the \temp\dump folder.

HTC audio gave me an error stating aaa_reader.dll also already existed in the \temp\dump folder.

I unchecked these from my BuildOS screen and it compiled the ROM just fine. In the future what can I do to fix or work around this issue?

Thanks Dog!

Another bug. When setting up my Hotmail account it usually automatically takes me to the Windows Live install and configuration screen. However when I type my email address in and it goes to find the settings automatically it says click Next to continue...and it just hangs there. Any ideas. I ran into something similar with Verizon Guys kitchen on my apache..this is what fixed it. However I am unsure of the CLSID in this kitchen

Changing

and
DLL=%CE2%\WLMMailTransport.dll
to
DLL=WLMMailTransport.dll

in the oem's rgu would fix the problem.

Granted this is a mute point now with the new kitchen being out

Not a bug, just a function (failing?) of the bepe BuildOS unfortunately. GGuru's great new buildOS handles conflicts much better. Right now, myself and a few others are taking the approach of separating out all of the OEM base (and the conflicts in SYS as well) and leaving them as optional. So, for example, if you want the original dialer, you would leave in the OEMsp_TitanDialer, and SYS_Phone_DPI_96... but if you preferred the vogue dialer you would uncheck those two and leave in OEM_VogueDialer ... its taking some work to get this done, especially since we haven't all agreed on the base. :P

As soon as I get my main desktop back up I'm going to put up a new version of the kitchen with a nicer, cleaner, SYS. Not the hacked job of the universal that the current one uses. Next release after that will hopefully have most of the OEM directory separated out for easy on/off.
