Right, I've read that. You downgraded your mogul and got a brick, right? I can deal with that, a brick does not void warranty.

Re: Titan ReLocker - The Hard-SPL undo option

Ok for what its worth, its POSSIBLE (at least on the surface level) to downgrade from GPS to Non-GPS. The prob is that even if your successful, at a lower level the radio is still actually a GPS radio with the infamous 785 header. Now surface level it will show 1.XX radio and it will not access GPS, basically it will act, look, and feel just like the actual non-GPS. that being said, you can encounter compatibility issues, not sure what perhaps ImCoKeMan can elaborate, also you can brick either during the downgrade or when upgrading again... or you could NEVER have a single problem. There's several reports of those that have been successful, usually to revert settings AFTER running customizations from another carrier, but its not recommended to attempt...

I recall when a buddy of mine, got a new mogul that had 3.35 ROM Stock - he accidentally flashed the wrong unlocker (1.20 Olipro). So then to recover he flashed 2.16 stock (to be able to boot into OS), then Olipro 2.40, then back to 3.35 (radio showed it went to 1.XX) then finally custom r0m. So knowing that...

Originally i argued with ImCoKeMaN that this is possible, to which i got the response that its not possible, just dont do it! After i poked and prodded (and of course researched) i was able to find more details, and now i understand why ImCoKeMaN said what he said.

To those that have downgraded, or flashed Radio's from other devices, ImCoKeMaN has 2 threads for research on problems - one for the titan, one for the touch. If you are one of those people that have downgraded or successfully flashed a radio from another device, please find these threads and post the info request by ImCoKeMaN.

Re: Titan ReLocker - The Hard-SPL undo option

ok, so i have a somewhat unusual issue that i think fits somewhat with this thread. i had a couple hardware buttons break on my phone and went to get it replaced and they said it voided my warranty and finally i got a manager that said if i can get windows mobile 6.1 off of it and put on an operating system downloaded from htc, he can return it because htc wont accept returns with hacked software.

so my concern is, that i dont think i can now bring in a bricked device because they know what's going on (and there is only 1 repair center in san diego). im under the impression that downgrading to 2.09 or 2.17 will brick the phone, even if i dont care about the bootloader and radio (they might not check that if i just bring it straight to the manager and say look, it says 6.0), is this correct?

does anybody have any other suggestions for me?

im currently running:
rom: 3.35.no2.5059
radio: 3.35.04
windows mobile 6.1 pro CE OS 5.2.19292 (build 19202.1.0.0)

my phone currently works except one of the soft buttons on the front and the blue function button on the keyboard, so i would rather have a crippled phone than brick and have to buy a new one.

any help is much appreciated, so thanks in advance.

Download and install the stock OEM HTC 3.35 ROM package from the HTC site, then bring it in for replacement.

Anyone have the password for the SD relocker? The file is password protected on the FTP site. I need to relock to the 1.06 bootloader because the stock Verizon rom is non-gps hence I can't use the nueSPL relocker.

I don't have the password, but here's the file. As long as you relock, when you revert to the stock verizon rom (which I assume you have) the phone won't brick. I've done it twice now for returns.

NOTE: I couldn't be bothered to actually zip the file, so I just renamed the extension. Make sure your extensions aren't hidden and rename it to an exe.

Hmm that's the one you run from the PC. I need the SD one. I'm not sure if it's any different. Do I just rename the StockSPL_1.06_RUU_signed.nbh file in there to TITAIMG.nbh and put that on my SD card? Or is the actual SDcard one different?

Does anyone know the process to relock using the microSD card?

Re: Titan ReLocker - The Hard-SPL undo option

Hi - This is the first time I've heard of nueRelocker.

My XV6800 USB port died and I need to mail it back to VZW. They are shipping me a new phone but I do not want to ship my current one back with the 2.4 bootloader and the phone unlocked. I was able to successfully downgrade (from sprint 3.35 radio / DCD WM6.1 rom) to the 1.30 stock radio and I put the original VZW rom back on. I did this with the SD card.

What else do I need to do before shipping it back? Where can I find this nueRelocker?

I'm sorry if this information is available in another thread - I have searched here and XDA and can't seem to find a conclusive answer since most programs require USB to be functioning.

Thanks!

The new relocker is for GPS ROMs only. However, since you are returning the device anyway, you don't have much to lose by flashing the relocker. I do not believe that the old pre-GPS relocker can be installed without a working USB port.

Hopefully, this reduces the number of devices returned to your carrier with hardSPL on it. I myself was given a refurbished device with "Olipro-2.40" on it. Please remember to relock your device BEFORE returning it to your carrier.

To use, you need to copy the relocker to your device and run it. It is intended to be run from the device, not the computer. Please see the included PDF instructions for complete details, and be sure to READ them before running the update.

If you've already downgraded the Radio and ROM, i wouldn't worry too much about the bootloader...

From the creator of the wm5 "upgrades" for the wm6 Titan comes a relocker to undo the Hard-SPL.

This is compatible with windows XP, please do not use on Vista at this time (unless you are sure you have modaco drivers installed)!

This program will flash a stock 1.06 bootloader to your device to remove the Hard-SPL. In general if you don't understand exactly what this is doing it probably is not for you. It does not give you any additional features, but it might make you feel more comfortable if you are getting warranty work done.

Run the exe and follow EVERY step of the instructions and you should be good to go. If you get stuck in bootloader with vista read the stuck in bootloader thread for links to different drivers. Other then that the standard disable USB in activesync will allow the included exit bootloader program to work.

Thanks go to Olipro for the help with the original Hard-SPL, I also used his modification to the Pof JumpSPL for the loader.
Thanks to Colonel and Luv2chill for testing and helping to clear up my poor instructions

and the link:

Titan_Relocker.exe is still on the FTP, but i removed this link because i want to make something abundantly clear first:
DO NOT USE THE RELOCKER FOR ANYTHING RELATED TO GPS ROMS, OR REVERTING BACK AFTER GPS UPDATE.
(see http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=26082 in vogue forum for more info. Vogue has different version numbers, but same principles)

Notes:

Has run fine on Vista for myself and others, but it might be good to have an xp box too

USB must work for this to flash, if you are worried about USB issues you should run this before it becomes a problem.

Make sure you are comfortable with exit bootloader steps first (disabling USB activesync and making sure you have the right drivers if in vista)

Flashing a rom will also exit bootloader and can be done from the 3 color screen.

CPLD-9 is just part of the stock 1.06 bl (from sprint 2.16) do not be worried by that. Also RUUNBH in top right corner will go away next time you enter BL

so what do I do if I ran the old locker? is my phone bricked? I've tried so many different roms I'm going crosseyed! I'm locked in the bootloader TITA100 SPL-1.06.0000 CPLD-9 I'm at wits end.. my cumputer wont recognize the phone atttached to the usb port and I've been trying to use the SD card to no avail.

you're not totally screwed yet!

try this:
plug your device into the computer (with usb cable)
reset device and see if it will boot into OS
if so, flash olipro 2.40 (and cross fingers)

you need to get a compatible bootloader/radio/rom to fix your issue...
unless you can boot into 3.X OS successfully, u can only flash bootloader via RUU

you currently have 1.X SPL (non-GPS) which is only compatible with non-GPS Roms and 1.X Radios (oh yeah 2.X as well - i think)
SPL = bootloader - if this ^ doesn't make sense, look here
if your radio and rom are both 3.X your best bet is flash bootloader to Olipro 2.40

also make sure the card is formated to fAT32, and if renaming from device dont include the .nbh extention
you may need to be unlocked to flash radio/OS Roms from bootloader

sounds like you may need to flash back (downgrade) to compatible Rom/Radio to match your SPL
either that or somehow get back to compatible 2.x sPL (guessing your rom/radio are 3.x)

For downgrading (please be warned of the dangers of downgrading)
1) need to find stock non-gps rom
2) need to find compatible radio for your stock rom
3) enter bootloader on device and flash stock rom/compatible radio

ACS Alaska? Never heard of 'em. :D

well upon further research, i think you are hosed

as i prev posted, you appear to have 1.06 bootloader with 3.X radio/3.X rom - and since you cannot boot into OS then you cannot upgrade your SPL, and unless you can find a ship exe ROM (the dump you've already tried) you cannot flash back to stock with ACS Alaska. This means that both options are not available. If you had a different carrier it would be a different story. Sorry, couldn't be of more help.
