Re: LTE Keyboard phone to replace Epic

I will know more tomorrow. CM9 b2's batttery lide was so horrible that I had to go back to GB fc09 or whatever for a outdoor festival in baltimore. GB only went through 4 batteries a day. Though since I was connected to the network and unable to make any phone calls or send any txt while trying to find where my 2.5yo was so I could see him for his first fireworks, the phone might as well have just been off completely.

I haven't tried anything with the GPS yet. I just know that it's been giving me the geo location warning and not locking anything.

I also need to load that super charger thing. One issue I have so far is that with AOKP, all the network settings are more hidden and with all the crap in the curtain, when you turn it on it's side, you can only see one of the messages in the space below the curtain crap instead of 2.2-ish.

Re: LTE Keyboard phone to replace Epic

Ok good news and bad news...

Samsung is releasing an Epic with the same processor as the usa galaxy s3 and a 720p display:

Samsung T699 may become Galaxy S Blaze Q, compete for silliest phone name ever on August 15th - Engadget

The bad news is it only has 5mp camera and 1gb ram..and its on T-Mobile : /....But maybe there is hope for keyboard phones after all? I mean its not perfect but a HUGE step up from what we have been treated to lately.

Re: LTE Keyboard phone to replace Epic

Motorola Q specs are up!

Motorola PHOTON Q 4G LTE Fact Sheet - Fact Sheets - Motorola Mobility, Inc.

It looks pretty good overall, I mean a slider with 4.3" display is pretty good.

There are some downside like its not a 720p display, but QHD is still a step up. And they chose to go with a 1785 mAh none removable battery :/

Other then that its not too bad and I guess spec wise its like a RAZR with a keyboard :/

Edit: Confirmation, they will allow unlocking of bootloaders on the Q:
