WPA2 encryption is the most secure one atm...
as for prot scanning..ok one they breached the network in w\e way..dhcp assigns an ip address..usually 198.162.x.x..all the usually have to do is send a packet to all the possible ips in that range..whichever one gets hit by the packet they know a host is there an they can exploit it... |

Whether or not you NEED that much security is a different question..its up to you really..I mean you told me you dont want to use static IP because you feel its less secure..so I responded by telling you WEP isnt really that secure..
it would take 1min-10min to crack with a pc..so think of WEP as protection against ppl stealing your network..not really people... I mean give me a few hours id break into your WEP network with my TP2 :/ Highest is WPA2 |
