Fastest Way to Fix Wifi-Tether when you phone reboots.

1. Wait for your phone to malfunction hopeful the longer it work properly the better.
2. 4 Finger into clockwork 3.0.0.6. Hold down the Volume up/down power button and camera button all at the same time.
3. Wipe the cache partition.
4. Goto Advanced and then select wipe Dalvik cache.
5. Fix Permissions.
6. Go back and then Reboot system now.
7. Make sure you only have the 3g radio open.
8. Open up Titanium Back and wipe the data from wifi_tether_v3_0-pre10.
9. Open up wifi_tether_v3_0-pre10 and you should be good to go.
10. Goto the settings and change the device profile to the Samsung Epic 4G.
Version wifi_tether_v3_0-pre12 is out now I am going to give it a try and let you guys know what I think of it but right now version wifi_tether_v3_0-pre10 is the most stable for me.

I have be surfing with wifi_tether_v3_0-pre12 for serveral hours. It rebooted when I first started using it so, I did the above steps and I have not had any problems with it since. I am using 4g and my and love the stablity of my wifi tether now.

Sometime wiping the application data work and sometime it does not. The steps I post above are for people whose phone restart once your phone restarts you are on your way to clockwork. Might as well go the full proof way and restarting your wifi tether. Wiping the application data works sometimes this works 95% of the time on the first try and 100% of the time on the second try.

Re: Fastest Way to Fix Wifi-Tether when you phone reboots.

I've followed all of the suggestions above and no matter what I do, wifi tether 3 pre_12 continues to force a reboot on my Epic . Is it at all possible that Sprint is seeing this and forcing the phone to reboot remotely? The Wireless Tether Ad hoc app works flawlessly, but the wifi tether will not play nice! I am on Midnight 5.2 using the Vision kernel. Anybody got any other suggestions or answers?

Re: Fastest Way to Fix Wifi-Tether when you phone reboots.

Any version will work with 4g..

It's just that you have to start the pre releases in 3g then switch to 4g after you have already connected.

Oh, and i could be wrong, but I didn't think you could access 4g with boost mobile at all.

Yes this will reduce the chances of your phone rebooting. Starting it up with 4g is very inconsistent.
