Android Market after EB13 upgrade - read before upgrading

I created a separate thread on this - to warn other people about this issue - before they pull the trigger on the EB13 upgrade.

I downloaded and installed the upgrade from the Samsung website.

After that, the Android Market app only listed TWO of my installed apps.

The Android Market website lists more of my previously installed apps - but not all of them. For most of the apps listed, I was able to initiate a re-installation from the website.

However, for several of my paid apps - while the app is listed on the Android Market website for my account, my Epic device is now being shown as incompatible with that software.

When I search for those apps using the Market app on my phone - those apps don't show up.

And there are other apps - that I had previously installed - which are not listed at all under my account on the Market website - and don't show up when searching the Market on my phone.

I've contacted Samsung technical support - and they say it's not their problem.

Similar message (so far) from Android Market - it's not their problem.

The responsibility for fixing this problem appears to fall back on each individual app developer - to upgrade the profile for their apps to include Epic/Froyo as a supported device.

Before upgrading, people need to be aware that they may lose access to at least some of their applications after the upgrade - at least until app developers have updated the profiles for their apps.
