Nope. Tried it. It will abort.

Hmmmm.... Well it says to flash a custom rom, not stock dk28. Pretty much back to square 1. Im back to stock 2.1, and god! Its soo smooth! Hate it cuz ext4 does speed it nicely and 2.2 has flash thats flawless.

No, its possible..you just gotta do a modification to the dk28 rom...just get in contact with a rom cook that uses EXT4 and see if they can help you..

I might jump back to 2.1 cause DK28 freezes so much.
First I'm going to flash to that ROM linked above.
If it doesn't speed up, I will go back to 2.1 and wait.

Re: Flashing Epic 4G EXT4 and CWM 3.x ROMs for Dummies

If the reason you're looking for the ext4 on stock dk28 is because of the freezing, I think you'll be disappointed. You might want to try the dk28 roms with the rfs format. I would recommend midNIGHT v2.8 before you give up on dk28.

Everyone should go back to stock eclair just so you all get to feel it again. I recently went back a few said ago answer I was shocked how smooth and fluid it performs. Made me cry. I was on leaked froyo for over 2 months so I forgot how nice eclair really is. I just wish flash 10.1 would run as good as froyo does. I installed it on eclair and made it work but the flash content plays at around 12_14 fps. Compare that to froyo flash with runs over 30 fps.

Re: Flashing Epic 4G EXT4 and CWM 3.x ROMs for Dummies

I decided to try this out.
One issue, take the /md5 off the dk28 odin file and then use a pit file.

Re: Flashing Epic 4G EXT4 and CWM 3.x ROMs for Dummies

I am definitely the dummy. can't get past step 1. The 64 bit USB driver isn't able to load on my windows 7 (positive its 64 bit) computer. Tried download, uninstalling, and checking virus protection. Any suggestions?

How do you use these files?
"But instead of using SPH-D700-DG27-8Gb-REL.tar, use this instead:
*OFFICIAL* SPH-D700-DK28-8Gb-REL.tar.md5"

How do you use them?

Just spent a few hours trying to figure this out and got no where. Thanks

David
