I voted for it over at xda. You're right in the fact that it d/n install the dk28 modem, so you cannot go directly from di18.

I was able to restore it by using Odin, everything worked fine on stock. I will try again going using kirstein's method. Thanks for all the replies and help.

Worked like a charm. The only thing I had to do was run the GPS fix. The Midnight ROM is awesome. Thanks to all that replied.
