The nice thing about buying it from Sprint is that I can abuse it, break it, brick it or lose it and I can get a new one. You can't put insurance on one you buy from eBay.

Uhh, Yeah you can. As soon as you activate it on your Plan , it's covered under your TEP!

this is correct. for now. sprints been changing alot of policies lately. im kinda getting scared.

I did not know that. I asked that very question to a sprint rep 2 or 3 years ago and they told me that I could not. So either the policy has changed or I was lied to.

He was fibbing. It's been that way since I've had Sprint over 4 years. I'm sure they would like you to buy the phones from them, as they get you locked in for another 2 years!

I bought my Touch Pro2 and Epic for LESS than Sprint sells them for and have been Out of contract for over 2 years!

the key i thought was to do the esn swap online or on the phone and they dont know your phone from an iphone. they offer insurance just as if it were a new phone. instore, i think they can see that its not new and may not offer it, but im not sure.

I've activated old phones that aren't working properly just to get then exchanged on TEP. Thinking about doing it on my old Touch since the screen cracked on it.
