Thumbs down Re: epic issues

all my problems with stock dk28 were fixed when i used odin to go back to DI18 then odin'd in the dk28 modem first separately. From what i have read...its a bootloader issue...since multiple bootloaders are at work when the kernel/modem/rom is updated all at once...
there is a good thread on xda describing multiple methods to 'fix gps' but it also fixed all my other issues by strictly using odin and flashing the dk28 modem first.
remember to rename/change all the .md5 files to .tar
also dont use wifi to download a rom on the phone.
transfer the file by usb or i guess 3g/4g if you must.

Re: epic issues

I was on stock DK28 unrooted since it first came out. I like to stay stock for a while so I'm able to tell if a custom rom is an improvement or not. I used the link below to ODIN a pre rooted DK28 rom (one click root didnt work all the way), and then flashed midNIGHT from the clockwork recovery. It was easy, midNIGHT has a stock google feel to it as opposed to stock samsung; I think you guys would like it. Just back up with app monster or mybackup pro(the free version is 30 days on the same phone) for apps and use smsbackup+ for texts and call logs. My phone looks like a Nexus S no crazy unwanted apps or lame dragon wallpappers.

while sprint may decide to make an OTA for those who got updated to dk28 it will not be by end of year..your best bet is once you hear OTA is out to flash back via odin.
