Fairly new to this forum but with Energy and the TP2 forums for a long time.ifferent user here.

I have been trying to root now for two weeks. I have tried both 32 and 64 bit drivers and a desktop (32) and my laptop (64) I have tried all forums and instruction. the drives won'tt even load on my desktop or laptop.
I have downloaded them maybe 20 times now. My laptop won't even recognize my phone.

I was able to upgrade to DK28 recently but that was the end of it. No root.

I love the phone and it's really OK like it is but Iknow it could be better.
I have trouble with wifi at home and Iam on my third phone as Sprint can;t figure out why.

I have read every instruction I can find and still no luck. I don't want to change phones...it is perfect for me...if it would do what it is supposed to.

What happens when you plug it into the back usb ports of your desktop? do you see a message saying unidentified usb device? do you see anything in Device manager when you plug it in? is there any messages on your phone's notification bar/dropdown menu when you plug it in? did you remember to enable usb debugging after flashing froyo?

The phone is set for debugging. on my desktop, I tried every usb port. The drivers will not load. I am able to put the phone into mass storageand can click on connect to usb but I get no drivers found everytime. There is nothing flagged in device driver either. I redownloaded the drivers from Samsung's site and from here but they just won't.

There is no unidentified usb device message either. just nothing for a long time...then no device driver found.

Try installing Samsung Kies...we can't really use it but it does a good job at installing drivers...also another thing some people have claimed to make a difference is using another usb cable...
