Re: Bragging rights!

please show me a laptop that doesn't have fan openings. I can put my laptop under my pillow and it never heats up.

That's interesting... I've had at least 3 intel base machines: one 32bit and two 64bit... the other being 32bit nvidia have had it last longer than one of my intel based 64bit machines. And now I'm down to 3 machines including nvidia which pretty much out lived... why does nvidia have to be faulty? And intel?

Well I didn't think you were going that far..there are fan based laptops that even with fans generally don't get hot.but if you insist..I "think" dell mini 9 has no fans...

Have you tried ATI based chipset for example? my friend has an ATI based latop he had for 5 years..it was top if the line then and generated almost no heat...I also got one of the new Asus models with the 5870 card..while it does get a bit hot in some areas its not to bad considering the specs...of course I also had an old MSI wich was ATI and kept overheating..but then again that was my mistake for buying it since it was MSI's first laptop...

The problem with nvidia is their chipsets are faulty...to prevent nvidia from loosing their clients they promised money back on any failed chipset to the manufacturers...to combat the faultiness many manufacturers on purpose set the fans to be at highest settings so that they would at least last after 1st year of manufacture warranty..since the fans dont last much longer on those high settings they give in shortly after and fail...

Re: Bragging rights!

The live backgrounds and widgets mesmerize most iphone fans I've dealt with. Today I got one practically drooling when I popped the Game Gripper on and played Streets of Rage and Final Fantasy 7 for a while during lunch.

The screen size and Super Amoled screen really gets people's attention. Colorful movies like Scott Pilgrim saves the world or Kick Ass really shows off the screens abilities.

In short...personalization and choice is king. IOS looks extremely dated next to a well done Android interface.
