Re: rooting-drivers-new roms-HELP

I was also a WM guy before I got my EVO and now I'm on to the Epic. Rooting these things is cake. I had to do soooo much more to flash a custom ROM on WM and then their was a REAL possibility of bricking. As gTen said it's almost impossible to brick a android device permanently through flashing.

The biggest thing is make sure you have the Samsung drivers installed and that when you plug your phone in they're working right. No yellow ? under device manager.

I would wait a little while on Froyo. I did put the Epic experience of Froyo on but it was a pain in the ass. A easier way will come along once we get the official update. Also froyo isn't all that. It's like a minor minor upgrade. I would not in anyway call it a new OS more of a service pack that adds a few things.

Anyways if you have any problems during rooting just let us know and most people here would be more than happy to walk you through or give you some pointers.
