The version depends on the engine its based on..hence you won't find opera 1 on winmo..I think 10 is the first one for android...

I did a little breakdown on browser compatibility of a few browsers:

Quote:
Did an ACID 3 test for fun

Desktop FF 3.6: 94/100
Mobile FF: 97/100
Stock 2.1 Browser: 93/100
Stock 2.2 Browser: 93/100
Opera 10.1 Beta: 100/100
Desktop Chrome 7.0: 100/100

First one to get a perfect score :/

HTML 5 Test (out of 300)

Desktop FF 3.6: 139 + 4
Mobile FF: 207 + 9
Stock 2.2 Browser: 176 + 0
Opera 10.1 Beta:72 + 0
Desktop Chrome 7.0: 231 + 12

Opera does pretty badly on HTML 5 though :/

Mobile Firefox? I been having some problems with that browser loading slower than the stock or not loading at all.. I don't understand.. If it scores better than stock browser then why does it get poor feedback in the comments section in the Market?

What I was testing is web page compatibility to standards, not speed..but Firefox is still a beta..aka the pinch to zoom acts weird and a few bugs here and there.. once it gets out of beta though I think it'll be a great browser..

Though to note when I tested it, speed wise it wasn't much slower then stock :/

Also to note I think Opera and FF both use Hardware acceleration for zooming...making the Opera mini obsolete..
