Re: Gten and all the EPIC 4g owners

In a word, ABSOLUTELY!!!

No issues other than the usual getting-used-to-it for a day or so. Fantastic screen for visual and touch. Best sound and video viewing of any phone I've ever had or tried out. And that's right out of the box on stock 2.1. It can only get better.

Haven't connected with Outlook but I copied my calendar and contacts to Gmail and they stay in sync through that. No problem getting Hotmail (my Outlook email provider).

Only negative was data reception. Not the phone's fault. I live on the eastmost outskirts of Tucson and have had the same problem with every phone since we moved here. I called Sprint and told them I didn't mind paying $10/mo extra for 4G (which is not available) but I minded not being able to get consistent connectivity with 3G. They passed me around from rep to rep for awhile, finally plugged my call into Account Services who resolved the issue by sending me a free Air Rave signal booster. Gotta love Sprint AND the Epic.

Re: Gten and all the EPIC 4g owners

I also went from a TP2 to an Epic. I'll agree that the TP2's keyboard IMO felt like it responded better, but I think I just need to get used to the Epic's keyboard. I ran different Roms on my TP2, and even OC'd it but honestly there is *****NO***** comparison between the TP2 and the Epic. The Epic is faster in everything I've asked it to do, takes better pictures, videos, browses the internet better, streams audio/video great and is just awesome. There is not one thing I think that the TP2 does better than the Epic- other than the ability to tilt the screen.

I can't believe I even considered staying on the TP2 after just 1 hour with the Epic.

Re: Gten and all the EPIC 4g owners

Hello, I also went from TP2 to Epic. The TP2 keyboard is superior. However, I do very much like the overall experience of the Epic better (android's speed and stability are a plus, the ubiquitous advertisements are a minus). Unfortunately, the keyboard has an issue where it randomly drops letters -- I'm surprised no one has mentioned it in this thread yet. I find this extremely annoying because of its unpredictability. If you need a reliable keyboard, I can't recommend the Epic. If you can live with the occasional drops in input, then it's an upgrade from the TP2. I'm not the only one experiencing this issue: http://androidforums.com/epic-4g-sup...t-problem.html

You will notice how nice it is to actually have a working gpu. That alone is a big plus. Buy it, stay far away from the Evo. Junk.
