hacking tethering via usb on sprint epic 4g? might refuse package and send it back.

Also when you connect your phone via USB you gotta wait like 5min or so for it to finish installing the drivers...it takes A WHILE..you only need 3 out of the 4 to finish installing for it to work.

ok, Question then If I tether via usb let me ask some clarifying questions since I think I know the answers

1. usb tethering is just like connecting my laptop to my phone similar to connecting to a internet router right?

2. IF I tether will sprint know that I did this and count my usage against my monthly 5 gigs with the 3g and unlimited with the 4g?

My friend here next to me is asking this

After we download easy tether and install the pc programs that it needs, we can connect our Epic phones to our laptops and choose tethering mode and it's just like using them like a wired internet connection like at my house?

usb tether is free as is wifi if your rooted. yes to question 1, 2 your good. friends question you need samsung drivers on pc, google you will see them. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/samsung-ga...nd-back-2.html

I was able to connect via usb tethering just fine the other day. took a couple of tries to get it connected but so far it's quick and works just fine at my office.

So for anyone who questions, I endorse the easy tether application as it was nearly idiot proof to set up.
