Sprint Epic Battery Life test

All,

Please try this before complaining about battery.

Go to:

Settings then to privacy then do a Factory Data Reset.

You will lose all your user installed apps.

What ive noticed on day 1 Battery showed full charge. After a factory data reset the battery meter dropped to almost empty

full charge overnight and i went all day and night after using pandora, making 3 hours worth of calls, using the web, check checking work and gmail email, sending texts and a few other thing.

With my evo i would have had to charge it after about 6 hours. PLease try the above and post your results.

Re: Sprint Epic Battery Life test

i unplugged at 8 oclock this morning at full. is 3:15 now(7.25 hrs) 2 different battery apps show 25 and 27 percent. i made one 25 minute call with minimal texting and lite data. mostly the ebay app. my screen has the brightest setting, but only stays on for 30 seconds, and thats how ive always kept my phones. im not impressed. id like to run it down to nothing, but i need my phone charged tonight. ill try to kill it tomorrow. btw, i did the reset at the store 4 ago, so i dnot know how it wouldve been before.

Re: Sprint Epic Battery Life test

Trying it now... Will report back over the next few days.

Something has to give! My battery life sucks. I've order additional batteries and a charger (since I'm digging the phone but am feeling abused by this battery thing).

I've been running Juice Defender and haven't seen much improvement.. ever so slight.

My phone syncs with a exchange server and I NEED to use BT... WiFi isn't so important but if it helps battery life (over having the phone connect over 3G all the time) then I'll use it.

Anyway... I've now done the hard reset and will be judicious with my app installation and see if I can get better battery life out of this thing. either that or I'm mailing it to one of you guys that has the marathon phones and letting you tweak it for me... LOL.

So the battery in the epic is bad too. I was thinking of switching over to get better battery life. I guess it won't help me. Maybe all 4g phones will have bad battery life. I hope not. I haven't even even used 4g yet.
