Re: Mounting the epic
No, sorry. Worked fine for me on Win 7, though I had to use the cable that the Epic came with. A third party cable I tried would charge fine but not mount.

Re: Mounting the epic
I had no problem with the cable it came with. You must choose to mount it on the phone though, it's not automatic.

Re: Mounting the epic

Re: Mounting the epic
thanks, the only thing that worked was the samsung usb drivers because for some reason when i mounted it it would charge and i would hear the sound on the comp but nothing. after i installed the drivers it worked perfectly. Im wondering if its the 64 bit windows 7 because my friend had the same issue.

Re: Mounting the epic
I have the Samsung driver installed on Windows 7. I'd like my Epic to NOT auto-mount the SD card- only charge. Right now it seems to default to mounted so I lose access to the SD card from the device.

I'm not sure how to set it to charging as default, but as soon as I figure it out I'll let you know. |

Re: Mounting the epic
This might not be the best answer, but if you enable USB debugging, it will not mount the SD card unless you do it manually. It just goes right into charging mode. This will accomplish what you want but I don't know if its a good idea to leave it in USB debugging mode all the time. Anyone out there know more about this? Is there any downside to leaving the phone with USB debugging enabled all the time?
