Re: Recommended Apps and Widgets Specific For Epic

So I really like many of the widgets discussed above, but I am not a fan of switching screens just to see them. If you could just scoot them closer together, I think it would be possible to build something even better than my old weather/calendar/shortcuts home screen on my TP2 that I loved.

With Beautiful Widgets and Agenda Widget I was able (after a lot of testing the various options) to take out gaps between the widgets (or at least spacers). My clock/weather/calendar take up a 4x3 space and look like one solid widget, much like HTC Sense used to look on my Diamond.

I should point out that the extra row beneath the agenda with the settings icon is removable, but they recommend not removing it until you're finished tweaking, which I'm not. Yet. I don't think. Maybe...

Your post convinced me to buy Beautiful Widgets and get the Agenda widget. Love it!

That is exactly what I was going for...any chance that will work with Touchdown...I don't use the stock calendar or email anymore because it was missing too many Exchange features.

Desktop Visualizer will let you make widgets using any icon you want, in different sizes. It's free from the Market.

I still use the Old Beautiful Widget 2.36 that they pulled for looking too much like Sense on one of my Screens.

Sent from an Epic 3G on SERO.
Thanks Went with battstatt for battery and Tajm for time. I might give Launcher Pro a try i just dont like having to scroll down in the apps menu i prefer the way Touch wiz has it.

Re: Recommended Apps and Widgets Specific For Epic

I noticed it does seem really picky about how close together things are. This might be something that will be solved with modifications or apps. Maybe we'll see something like a cookie mod.

Re: Recommended Apps and Widgets Specific For Epic

Gotta give another shout out to Juice Defender. It really does improve your battery life. Considering the fact that there are no less then 5 different threads on PPCG about battery life on the Epic, this should be a very popular download.

IT WORKS!!!
