Re: htc sync and epic4g??

ya..the problem was i dont sync through google due to all the junk email addresses in there.... so i normally use htc sync to go through my outlook....

so far i pulled it from my htc hero by exporting contacts onto the sd card and importing them back to the epic..... i guess i will have to uninstall htc sync from my laptop

Is that ActiveSync or Google Sync that you're using, and does it also sync contact pictures? I'd like to sync Outlook to Gmail now so I can sync Gmail to Android later.

How do you export your contacts to the SD card, and will that work with Windows Mobile? Then how do you import them back to your phone?

Re: htc sync and epic4g??

HTC Sync only works with HTC phones.

Use HTC Sync to copy data from your old phone to Outlook.

Use trial version of Companion Link to sync your Outlook with your Galaxy S.

Re: htc sync and epic4g??

to export from my hero, it was simply to just view contacts and export contacts to SD card... so it saved the file there and i took that file and put it on my epic. hope that helps

Ugh, my Touch Pro left a junk note of code in the memo field on all of my contacts linked to a Facebook account. Thanks HTC! lol

Re: htc sync and epic4g??

I use a unknown gmail account for nothing but contact and calendar sync. Just set up a gmail account like. lawsmobilephone@gmail.com It works great.
