Been slowly working on the theme this week. Since it's EC05 based running the GB leak would mean extra flashes I just don't want to do.

I gave ginger a fair shake, mainly to see what's in store. Overall it will be my choice once the bugs have been worked out. I to agree it's unusable at the moment as a daily ginger fix. The battery temp pop-up is to much to deal with alone, tried to work around the issue without success. However let's keep in mind the evo3d is on the way with ginger I believe. This bums rdy to wait in line for that evo.

Good luck with that Evo 3D. I myself will have this Epic for probably another year or so.

Same..Evo 3D is not that big of an upgrade until Ice Cream comes out which unlocks both coress...by then I'm hoping that promised Quad-Core phones will be out :P

What makes Gingerbread awesome for us is that it has Hummingbird optimizations..similar to how Froyo had Snapdragon optimizations.

I changed my mind and decided to try ginger again, actually an idea popped into my head to adress the battery temp pop-up issue. So I made some changes and SO FAR no annoying pop up, I will leave it on the charger and monitor the phone. YOU keep your fingers crossed and I'LL keep mine uncrossed while working on this.

Well so far so good, I gave the baterry a full charge and still no pop-up. If this remains the case and all is good i'll continue to use ginger. Good news is when the battery did get a full charge a new message appeared "battery is full please unplug charger" thats all. Unplugged the phone and BAM it went away as it should.

Some have also reported in the thread at xda that installing a battery widget has resolved it for them....

I didn't think of that I actually deleted some files from the zip file. While I was at it the lag from the keyboard was annoying aswell. No problems anymore I used tb and uninstalled all keyboard aspects and used a zip file with cw mod to install a new gingerbread keyboard. I retract my previous statment above, I'm now sticking with ginger.
