Happy New Year! And to start off a new year, I got some bad news....My phone keeps restarting itself again like with previous ROM's. I nailed it down to three scenarios:

1. Sometimes when I open up the keyboard.
2. Sometimes after I press the END to finish a call.
3. Sometimes going back from reading a message.

I don't know what can be causing it, any ideas? Thanks

I have a couple ext4 gps questions. I am running 2.1.1 and never took the time to do the "fix". since ext4 wipes the internal memory: will i still need to do the dl18 to dk28 fix? Does gps work on ext4? I don't use gps often so It's not a big issue, Since ext4 is a huge step, I would like to do everything right the 1st time. Thanks. . Oh BTW Rob. I have a hosting account that expires in i few months. If you like I could make a folder and give you ftp access to host files etc. Just email me the monthly bandwidth for rom downloads. Didn't work for me without flashing the prepare.zip. Had to redo from scratch.

I has been confirmed working over in my other thread. Basically the prepare zip is the recovery files which are included n the rom itself. So by flashing the ROM first you are installing the Recovery Files and the newest kernel all in one action. Then by running the install bat you get the reset installed and you done.

3 easy steps. Give it a try to verify for yourself.

Before you doubt this procedure try it for yourself. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.

Let me explain why this works. The prepare zip is the means by which you install the new recovery. That's all it does. The new recovery is already included in my rom. Flashing the KERN-DK28EXT4 is doing just that flashing the kernel. My rom already has that included as well. So by flashing the ROM first you have installed the Recovery(prepared zip) and the new kernel (KERN-DK28EXT4) all in one motion. Then all that's left is to plug in and run the install bat. It's really mush easier this way. I was aiming to make it accessible to more people with different experience levels.
