I'm happy with my EVO (and the xda-devs it comes with), but its always nice to see sprint bringing some heavy hitters to their phone lineup. Hopefully we see some Wimax WP7 action sometime soon too.

By previous rumors..some time this summer....

but then again sept 6th also theoretically counts as summer..

OR maybe sprint is smart and will play the double card to beat the iphone..aka get all the iphone pre-sales with the EVO and then swoop up the remaining with the Galaxy S Pro...but sprint can't be that smart..could they?

yup, just didn't like it when they went proprietary on the charge jack. I assume this is microusb.

it's a US law that all mobile devices must have the same connection. No more proprietary connections that create a mess in your car. Congress signed this into law a few months ago.

Also, the design is not as nice as the EVO. the sprint logo is huge on the phone and could have been shrink down to create less real estate or bigger screen on the device. The bottom part under the button has plenty of real estate they could have chopped off or moved the samsung logo underneath them to create more screen space.

either the phone could have been smaller or the screen could have been bigger.

really?? I seem to remember the EU doing this, but not the US.. and all the deadlines i've seen are 2012.

actually I see such a law as completely un-american and anti-progress. (much like our current subsidies)
