Well due to security issues, we had to upgrade. The version we had before was REALLY old. The old style wasn't compatible with the new version, so we had to change. There is a version of this style with the old blue backgrounds for those that want to use it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this upgrade had to be done sooner or later.

As stated in this thread and other threads, once we get a final banner, the phones will be linked like the were before.

Pages are just as fast as they were before, the style has nothing to do with that. If its slow its because the server load is high, not because of the upgrade.

Drop down menus work fine for me and nobody else has reported a problem. They weren't working on the homepage at one point, but I fixed that a few days ago.

Just for clarification:
I don't have the device bar on top.
I know the devices are not linked yet but am I supposed to show the devices on my Diamond?

You should. You might want to clear your cache and refresh.

If you're using the Opera 9.7 with Turbo, you might have to wait for their proxy to update.

I am using Opera 9.7 with Turbo deactivated. I cleared the cache and I have the mobile view ticked. The color choice boxes are on the left side going vertical. I am viewing the site in "PPCG Default."
When I untick mobile view, I see the banner and device bar on top but obviously viewing the site that way is difficult.
I am trying to be as specific as possible as maybe I am not viewing the site with the correct parameters.
What is "wait for their proxy to update" mean and is that done automatically?

Btw, I have never been able to view the banner and device bar with the new default but I was able to on the old default.

If you have Turbo deactivated, then you don't have to worry about their proxy. Opera Turbo and Skyfire use a proxy server to store a cached version of websites.

Its probably wrapping the banner somehow and its being hidden.

We will be getting a new WAP style that should make browsing from phones a whole lot better. If you use HowardForums, we are looking into the WiForums script they use for their WAP site.

did "no thanks" get removed completly? i was just gonna hit that (as you can tell i dont hit it much and am actually "mostly" honest about it.

I just saw this post now for some reason and not earlier.
I have not visited HoFo for awhile now. Been here most of the time

I take it that the new system's format is compatible to Mobile viewing but differently than the previous system which is the reason that a new WAP style has to be utilized? if I am making sense.
I will try Skyfire and see how it goes.

Update:

I tried Skyfire and forget about it.
The pages don't render like on Opera.
Its like Opera but without mobile view ticked.
And like Opera without ticking mobile view, the banner and device bar is on top.
Plus on Skyfire, the text is not sharp at all and the colors are washed out looking.
Viewing with Opera is the way to go.
Everything else is fine.
Will just wait for the banner and device bar.
I was addicted to the device bar though. I got a wear spot where the Diamond was

well, if skyfire would ever up to VGA, it would be the top browser again.

Maneuvering around Opera is more user friendly, for me anyway.
The built in flash that Skyfire has is a big plus.
Maybe Opera will have flash 1 day.

I have been having a hard time posting from wap style (the reply box at the bottom of any threads page) - it just returns a 'page generated in xx seconds' blank page and the reply I posted - is not posted..

As a workaround if I click a reply link - I can then post
