Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

Hi all,

I have a problem that involves a couple of combined things. I am trying to use Pocketshield, which requires that you have a "Windows dialer skin" in order to use its slide-to-answer feature. The thing is, Im on Bgill's New Titanium 6.5 ROM, and any of the windows default dialers dont look correctly on 6.5, they show a scroll bar covering the right part of the keys. Does anyone know of a default windows dialer I can use that wont cause that problem with 6.5? If I am incorrect in what I am saying here, please let me know, that is entirely possible as I am kind of just guessing from what Ive seen. Thank you all for taking the time to read this

Re: Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

If you have the "Advanced Config" application on your phone, there is a setting called "skin dialer" disable that and you have the windows mobile dialer again

If you don't have that, there is a registry setting [HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin] -> Enabled
Set this to 0

Re: Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

The problem is not that there isn't a windows dialer. It's that the windows dialer has the scroll bar because the dialer screen is too long or something. I am not sure why that happens, but I too would like to know how to fix that.

Re: Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

Yup, exactly what Microbespecialty said. Im actually happy with the dialer on the ROM that Bgill put on there, it's just that Pocketshield doesn't work well with anything other than a default Windows Dialer. I should probably talk to their support about it, but I figured Id post here first and give it a shot. Thanks anyway for the help

Re: Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

Thanks Greenskeeper, I just went through Advanced Config, do you happen to know where that option would be? Sorry for the trouble, I will keep looking to see if I can find it myself also

Re: Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

No Prob,
Open Advanced Config
Under User Interface
-Vertical scrollbar width-set to 0 pixels
-Vertical scroll arrow height-set to 0 pixels
-Horizontal scrollbar height-set to 0 pixels
-Horizontal scroll arrow width-set to 0 pixels
Soft reset

Re: Default Windows dialer with 6.5 ROM?

Awesome! I had asked about this in the ROM thread myself but there was no answer prior. Thanks!!

Is there any way to keep Voice Command enabled after a soft reset as well? Whenever the phone turns off, VC gets disabled.
