I really like this dialer, anyone else trying it?

I downloaded this and it is way cool. www.iconsoft.com Check it out and tell me your opinions. How do I go about getting rid of the stock dialer now?

Re: I really like this dialer, anyone else trying it?

PhoneEx is great! I have been using version 1.4.5 for a while. The kinetic scrolling on this program is probably the best I've seen on Windows Mobile. I'm glad to see that version 2 is out. Time to upgrade!

When I installed PhoneEx on my phone it just takes over the dialer and you don't have to turn off the stock one at all...does version 2 not do that?

Re: I really like this dialer, anyone else trying it?

I just upgraded to version 2 and I'm liking it a lot. It looks like only minor changes were made, but they're useful.

I think the older version of PhoneEx didn't have a way to create a new contact from the call log (at least I couldn't find it, and have been using the SPB MS call log to add new numbers). Now you just go to the call log, click on the arrow on the right of the number you want to save, then click on "Change" and an option to save the number comes up.

i really like mine. its made my phone useable as a phone while not able to spend much trying to dial/answer a call

evderything else just adds to its coolness

ive got 2.02
you can get rid of the stock dialer but there is no need. you can just turn it off in phonex settings then if your phone frags and you need a replacement you are ok too

Re: I really like this dialer, anyone else trying it?

I just gave this a try today and like what I see so far.

Those of you that have been using PhonEx for a while, can you tell me how to accomplish something? I am using the latest version 2.0.2, and I have the autolock on connect enabled. The problem is that I do not know how to relock the screen once I unlock it. For example, if I call a company and need to press an extension, I unlock the screen, pull up the dial pad and enter the extension. Once I am in the call, I want the screen to lock again. How do I do this? It does not seem to do it manually and I do not see any options to lock the screen.

Thanks.

Just hit the power button. Should lock again.

Thanks BW.

After p0laying with this a few days, I have come to like it. I am only on the trial. Does anyone know if the trial is limited in functionality? I cannot seem to change the format of the phone numbers. When I select a different format in the options, it never saves. It is difficult to read a number when it is all jumbled together instead of formatted.

I am running blazingwolf's latest ROM (build 23064). I know other applications have issues with these newer releases of 6.5, but was wondering if this is just something that will be available if I purchase or if this is a result of using this new build.

Thanks.

Are you able to set a format for the phone numbers to be displayed so that you do not just get a string of 10 numbers?
