well I haven't used the "new every 2" in about 4 yrs now...but you wont pay full retail, there will most likely be a rebate of some sort 50 or 70 bucks...and then u just pay the 2yr contract price...when I got the Omnia I had my XV6800 for a year, i got the 70.00 rebate, plus another 50.00 off from something they sent me in the mail...so it went from 269.00 to 149.00 which isn't bad...and I sold my 6800 on ebay for 150.00 so technically I got my Omnia for free...!!!

as long as u sign that 2yr agreement Verizon will sell u the phone...
