Re: Best Backup Software
I can't say which is best because I haven't tried but one. I can say that SPB Backup is quite thorough and has saved my bacon more than once. It creates a self extracting executable that you can run and completely rebuild your device without having to reinstall the software. It also allows selection of one or more files from that executable for a partial restore. There is a PC component that allows you to extract files on your desktop/laptop and then move them with ActiveSync over to your device. You can set up scheduled backups and manage the number of copies you keep. It costs $25 and is worth it IMO.

Re: Best Backup Software
I flash constantly and I use My Phone. I don't want it to save settings just because of registry issues with some of the flavors of rom out there, but My Phone works very well and it's free.

Re: Best Backup Software
IMO the best backup is a combination of things. Definitely use either My Phone or PIM backup.
To restore anything else use Sashimi. While not really a back up program it can restore all of your custom registry setting, install all of your software, register it, set up your email and exchange accounts and more. There is a bit of a learning curve but but its worth it. Sprite is a great program if you want a traditional backup program but I no longer use it. |

Re: Best Backup Software
I've tried SPB Backup, SKTools, Resco and Sprite. I've had a lot of success with Sprite which is the one I personally use.
