Re: Is Gps supposed to work after official upgrade?

It takes a while to "warm up," but once it's ready, you shouldn't have problems with Bing, Google Maps, or even an app like Garmin Mobile XT! I'm using one of Adryn's ROMS, the v2.0 WM 6.5 base.

Had the same issue until yesterday, finally a success on Google Maps. Solid lock with 6 sats. After that firat lock it will lock easier now.. I just had to keep trying in different places until I got that first sat lock...

Re: Is Gps supposed to work after official upgrade?

I thinks this is nuts... My Touch Pro locked in about 10-15 seconds. I have messed with this and it takes forever if I even get a decent lock. The GPS in this phone sucks...

Re: Is Gps supposed to work after official upgrade?

The problem stems from not having aGPS enabled on the Omnia. I have been reading alot about this, both here and on Modaco, and the mighty people are trying to figure this out. Right now it is what it is until the mighty people get aGPS functional on our beloved Omnias.

Re: Is Gps supposed to work after official upgrade?

Found it! If anyone is looking check out this post from Adrynalyne: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=157

I now get cold locks in 10-15 seconds!! Just install to your device and run the app. I have mine set to auto update. Had this on my TP and I guess thats why I was getting solid locks in 10-15 secs...
