MITsMAN Error? What is it?

I have started getting some sort of strange error on my phone and I can't figure out if it is software related or what might be causing it. It happened last night and then again this morning. My phone makes an odd sound and I notice it has gone into flight mode. It then becomes unresponsive. The screen still rotates, but I can't get it unlocked (S2U2). I end up having to reset it.

This morning, however, I was able to get it to unlock. It had an error window that said "MITsMAN: Keypad Callback EXCEPTION!!!!" Anyone know what this is related to? I couldn't click the error box, and the screen seemed to not work, so I again had to reset the phone.

I searched and can't find anything about this. Has anyone else encountered it or know what it means? What is MITsMAN?

Adrynalyn's CC20 21051.1.6.4.

I've been running this for a while now and hadn't run into any problems until yesterday.

if possible, uninstall recent programs until it (hopefully) stops.

Re: MITsMAN Error? What is it?

It sounds like a driver problem. Thing is, the CC20 drivers are the same used in the 21051 rom.

Re: MITsMAN Error? What is it?

Here's some more info on this...

It seems to be happening overnight, but not through the day. I'm not sure what exactly is happening overnight to cause the error, but it is definitely something happening overnight. And, the problem doesn't arise until I hit a button to wake the phone, then I get the odd phone sound and it goes into sleep mode. Doesn't matter if it is 6:00 am and I am thinking I've overslept or if it is 2:00 am and I'm checking the time. Seems like any time I try and wake the phone after midnight I get this error.

As an aside, I have a G-Alarm alarm set to go off at 5:30. The alarm isn't going off, even though the phone isn't in flight mode until I hit a button. Weird thing is that after I reset the phone, it comes on with the g-alarm going off.

Not sure if g-alarm is the culprit or not, but it looks like I might be getting somewhere.

Does weatherpanel do anything at midnight that might be causing this? I know not long ago they had to change some of the programming in WP because it would get stuck in a loop because of the way weather.com was blocking the weather information. Is there a WP function that runs at midnight?

Its a Samsung thing, not any 3rd party related program. Run a good task manager and find mitsman.exe and terminate it, then restart your phone.

Searching on Google it has something to so with a Soft Input Panel, Im guessing your keyboard launcher or something. So yeah I my best advise is to terminate it then restart, and hope it starts up properly this time.
