What i was eluding to was a bad joke because with your OS you max out at 4gigs of ram (including your graphics card and any other memory...meaning, you have about 3gigs of total system memory possible)

Yar... I hope it works, I really AM itching to flash this baby. I honestly don't know why, Adrynalyne's 4.2 works SO smooth for me, but still...

I had the old flash rom with Adryn's 4.2. Computer is Vista 32 bit.

Flashed the new ROM and then flashed 4.2 with no problems at all. Was almost seamless. I'm wondering why I bothered to flash at all instead of staying with the CC20 that I had.

Oh well - I hope this works for everyone else.

HELP PLEASE!!

I specifically did NOT flash when the leaked ROM broke. I read about the joys of all the cooked ROMs but did not want to brick my phone and no have a warranty. I waited for the "offical" version and think I still messed up any way.

What happened: I did the back up and followed all the instructions. The "do not disconnect" downloading notice came up on my phone. After a minute the Omnia Screen simply went black - no movement. My computer screen prompted me to do a soft reset. I did. Nothing happened.

Another screen popped up entitled "Emergency upgrade Mode" came up.

it said to:


remove the data cable
remove and replace the battery
reconnect the mobile device to the cable
click the Next button
turn on the phone
the upgrade process will continue.


Needless to say that did not happen. My screen is just black and the active sync is no longer making a connection to continue the upgrade.

Are my worst (and tried-to-avoid-at-all-cost) fears realized - its bricked or is there something I can do to salvage this?

ANY direction in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like it's back to the Verizon store for you my friend.

Good news is, they should replace the phone for you since you were flashing to official frmware. They will honor the warranty

I feel so bad posting this after the previous poster, but....this phone has definitely given us free aGPS, I think. I have GPSToggle running on Today. I turned it on and opened Google Maps, and it went RIGHT to my house.

Mind you, I'm INSIDE, in the middle of a giant thunderstorm, which is exactly why I tried it. SWEET.....
