Re: Google Voice Invites Went Out Yesterday

I didn't think that onedialer worked on wqvga devices yet. I can't wait till it does, so that I can try it out. Right now I am using idialer and icontact with it configured to initiate a a GV callback. it sends a request to call the number through my internet plan and calls me back from the GV number and then calls out to said number once I answer. the fact that added GV to my friends and family means that all my calls are now free!!

I put it on my Omnia with no issue. Works great. Probably a new(er) release, with full GV and Omnia support. I put it on my phone Friday.

1) You can call your GV number, and in the menu options initiate a call from there.
2) Using iDialer, it will automate the process, Using your data to tell your GV you want to make a call, and to what number. Your phone will ring, and then call out from your GV. All you do with iDialer is tell it what number and hit send.
3) using the GV mobile site, if you use Sync, your contacts will be listed. It also has an entry box on the mobile site.

All 3 ways, you call, or recieve a call from your GV number. Making the call free if you put it on your friends and family list.

if you add your gv number to friends and family, then all the calls you make go through that number.... therefore they are free. I have my caller id set to show my google # and then announce the phone that is calling, since it is gv that is calling me, again they are free. pretty sweet if you ask me.

doesn't work very well for me. my screen looks like...

Plus I am getting a "error dialing number - Network Error"
I'll wait till it's a little more omnia compatible before I try and find out why.

Maybe I am a snob, but I want it all to look nice. Idialer is working fine for me now.... I guess I'll wait till it's fixed.

they don't but they do have an offer called - pick 3, which just got upped to a max of 5. offer should be used with customers who refer to competitor offers for unlimited calling plans to family and friends on other networks. have a rep you speak to search for -

Offering Unlimited Calls to 3-5 Numbers on Any Network
