Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

I've never used an auto file. Still trying to figure that out. Anybody have examples for commonly used programs? Google Maps, Windows Live Search, etc...

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

Here's the contents of my filebackup.ini. It saves my place in my ebook, my rotation service xml, and my opera bookmarks, history, and wand data. I also put the settings file in there, but I don't know how effective that will be. Haven't tried it, yet...

[FileSet1]
FileBackupDirMode=Auto
file1=\My Documents\AlReader v2.3\*.*,*
file2=\Program Files\RotationService\RotationService.xml
file3=\Application Data\Opera9\cookies4.dat
file4=\Application Data\Opera9\global.dat
file5=\Application Data\Opera9\secure\wand.dat
file6=\Application Data\Opera9\opera6.adr
file7=\Application Data\Opera9\vlink4.dat
file8=\Application Data\Opera9\Settings\settings.html

Just started using empoze but I beliece you just need to back up the following registry directoy:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\Emoze

Under that directory there is a folder labeled EmozeUI. Now Im not too great at reading binary strands but what I can gather is that this is your account info. Will test it soon to confirm though.

Edit: My guess is that you need to also do a backup of the emoze reg's under local machine as well. and to be honest, I think there are setting that you have to backup relative to the winmo email client since emoze essentially creates an email account. Maybe some type of auto file is in order? This became more complicated than I thought.

I back up my opera data also, but I do it completely different. I copy the files and put them in the "root" folder with their respective folders. Then it just copies the new files over the default ones and I have my favorites.

I never tried doing it with my wand.dat file. I just do the opera6.adr and opera.ini

What is vlink4 and global?

Re: Sashimi and the Omnia

Here is a question. I just install SASHIMI to my "My Storage" and then anything I put in the "SC" directory actually installs to "My Storage".... Does anyone know how to install SASHIMI to the storage card and then use the "ASL" directory? Isn't there something else we have to setup?

After the flash last night... Settings didn't help... it's probably in the registry. global is history and vlink4 is visited links.

My history is still there, but my bookmarks are back to default. How do you back them up? Opera's site said they were in opera6.adr.

Actually, I had installed emoze to My Storage. After the flash last night, and Sashimi install, it was already setup correctly... Didn't backup any reg keys for it or anything... must be stored in a file... cool.

Edit:

Okay, maybe the reg keys are needed. It hasn't been receiving emails today (Sundays are usually slow, so I didn't really notice).

If thats the case than maybe you really only need the hkey_current_user reg entries.
