Verizon Touch PRO GPS unlocked...but nothing yet for Samsung Omnia

Not that I'm complaining since I already have GPS unlocked with Adrynalyne's 6.1 rom. Just waiting to see what other goodies they'll include with the Samsung Omnia update.

yeah , i'm hoping soon.
from a biz standpoint makes sense to open hd pro first,
it added vvm which is a potential money maker for vzw.
but include the new feature phone app my media retrieval (for feature phones)
and opening up java,
well in all it seems that vzw is learning that the closed garden biz model is over

VZ are dragging their feet with this GPS thing. Don't sell consumers a product that you've intentionally misrepresented. Instead of GPS included it should say locked GPS. This would convey to users that the phone's GPS and only be used threw your applications. I just got this phone a week ago. They better unlock it very soon else I will return the phone and cancel the service.. I do have 30 days!

Either that, or just stick it to 'em the other way by unlocking your phone with the leaked CC20 ROM and then saddling up with one of our excellent chefs' cooked ROMs. Verizon's official ROM isn't anticipated to do much, if anything, more than what the leaked ROM already does anyway. And I guarantee you the official release won't have Windows Mobile 6.5 like some of the cooked ROMs do.

Only thing I expect from an official rom:

Some bug fixes (which I have already addressed, some with limited sucess), and maybe a-gps.

GPS is just a toy to me anyway. Last time I used it was to navigate through the University here, but thats it.
