I've always used S2P for the most part however I've been digging the new version of Kinoma as a one-stop place for music, movies, pictures, twitter, rss, etc.

Re: Music Manager

I should have mentioned S2P is free while Kinoma "can" be. Kinoma has a free player but it's a) crippled a bit and b) not up to the same version as the newly released version.

By "can" be, visit the software forum for a full thread but they offer $29.99 player for free if you trial and buy some other service. The 'trick" is that you can get the service then have 7 days to cancel it and still keep Kinoma.

Re: Music Manager

I have a question, I just ripped a random CD I burned off my girlfriends iTunes onto my computer. When the songs get added to my CD they are added as Track 01, Track 02.....so on. So I have went in and made the necessary changes so the tracks read with artist and song title. When I add them to my storage they show as the file name but when S2P reads them they only show as track 01.....how can I fix that?

Edit.....

I think I got it

When you say you made changes so the tracks read with artist and song title, you mean "externally" to the filename? If so, I think you are finding that S2P like most software reads the MP3 information encoded inside the file.

You would need to change this with some software on your PC I think. I believe I've used something way back in the day to do that but I can't recall it's name. Google something like MP3 ID EDITOR.

Re: Music Manager

Figured it out. I had to change the actual ripped file name in windows media player before i ripped it to my PC.

But thank you, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. And I use S2U2 so its perfect!!

Re: Music Manager

I'm thinking about Trial Pay for Kinoma so I can use the EQ, but Kinoma Freeplay is already a pretty damn great program. You listen to MP3s, etc, with album art, watch most video file types (need full version for MP4), listen to ShoutCast, and watch YouTube, among other things, all in the free version. I highly recommend it. My only issue is the random stutter in music playback, and ShoutCast stations lose the stream (even when I have 4 bars EVDO) and need to reload quite often. The program hasn't been tested for the Omnia, at least not by the creators, so that could be part of the issues.
