My bad. For my Diamond it was ##PRL#...not sure how it's done on the Omnia.

You are getting Crickets menu because you are roaming on their network does you're ERI banner say Verizon Wireless or Extended Network? if it says Extended network it means you are on another carriers network. (No you don't get charged roaming for this) It just mean VZW doesn't own/operate any cell towers near you so you access their network by way of another carriers towers most carriers have roaming aggreements with eachother to provide better coverage.

As a result of being in the extended network feature such as *228, *611, #BAL, #MIN and #DATA may not work since you are not technically connected to the VZW network. Hope that helps.

Try different numbers after *228. For example in my area *22801 connects me to VZW and *22803 will connect me to sprint. These numbers vary by area

*22801 worked! I got to the programming menu for Verizon! Thank you very much!
