Re: Samsung's Omnia i910 Verizon to Alltel?

I posted this in another thread. I just activated mine, yesterday.

To activate...
Before activating, dial *228 and see if it says "over the air programming" (mine said verizon). If not, try *22800/01/02/03/04/05/06/07/08/09 until one says "over the air programming". It doesn't say alltel, anymore, and I haven't seen anyone else post about it.
Call 800-alltel1, support (3 I think), I think there's another step after but it should be obvious.
Give them the esn (a000 something or other). Hopefully, they won't ask for the model (I don't lie).
If they give you crap and/or you don't want to lie, just hang up and try later.
When you're on the phone with them, they'll tell you to dial *228. Use whichever number said "over the air programming" earlier (just don't tell them that you're doing that). They say to hit 3, but it's actually 1.
After they hang up, *228 should work properly and you can do option 2 to update the roaming.
Calls and text works fine. #777 doesn't.

Re: Samsung's Omnia i910 Verizon to Alltel?

Hi. I just got a Verizon phone that's flashed for Cricket. Where can I get the original ROM for verizon, or how do I get my verizon service back on my phone?

The weird thing is, when I dial *228 I get an altel message, however when I dial *611 for the Verizon activation, I get Crickets prompts instead. With this in mind, it leads me to believe there is something very simple that I can do to get back on verizon.

Any help??

Sorry for the double posting. I re-wrote it a little after I retested.

There's no official rom, yet, that I've seen.

Have you tried *22801/02/03/etc...? When I tried going to alltel, *228 was verizon and *22800 was uscellular. *22801 was alltel, though.
